MTR Restaurent - A Looting & Worthless Restaurant

I recently happened to visit MTR restaurant at Forum Value Mall @ WhiteField, Bangalore. I have heard from some local friends that it is a good restaurant. However it proved to be a blunder.

I gave a big hype to my relatives based on my friend's reviews and took them to this no-so-clean restaurant. We ordered five meals. The starting item was juice which was okay, but not so great at all. Then came poori, oh boy! just touch it and your hand glitters. It was full of oil and finally came not so hygienic, not so tasty items.

Then finally came the worst part, the bill. They billed a whooping Rs.180 per meal. There was no justification to that bill. The hotel was not airconditioned, the place was not clean at all and the main thing, the food, was not tasty at all. You can get better food even in a local road-side mess. I did not know what to do. However, irritated with this cheating, I have sent an email to the MTR people.

I have visited the MTR restaurent at Forum value mall, whitefield on 9th June 2010. I thought I should let you know how I have felt; give some feedback.

Note: This is my first visit to an MTR restaurent.

The food was okay, nothing really great about it. The pooris served were horribly oily; the hands were shining even after just holding it. The Bisibelebath served was okay, nothing exceptional about it. Somehow with a disappointment we have completed our dinner and then came the bill. I was charged a whooping Rs.180/meal. Now how do you justify this??? Is there any commonsense/business logic behind this tariff??? Just because you have brand name established is this how you cheat people? Just for thali lunch for five people paying Rs.900 was highly unjustifiable and that too with the given taste.

I very well know that just because I complained whole MTR shall not change. But to be very frank, shame on the restaurent owners to loot people like this. Have some commonsense and try to stop looting people like this.

Just to add, I am not writing this to gain some sympathy, but just for the gullible not to get duped by the brand MTR.
