"Trying for N number of times with the same methodology and expecting different outcomes is the most foolish thing ..."
This is what I have read long time ago. A simple example for this quote is our current reservation system which is prevalent since Indian Independence but caused no effect. However, it is extended every time even without a thought; just for votes. India has very well seen that it is working no wonders for the real poor and those who are dying for a chance. It helped in no way for my maid nor for anyone I know in the poor class. However governments simply extend it.
Now we have Women reservation bill introduced. This is with an aim for women to come into parliament. Will my mother or my wife be able to contest in and get elected in this? No. Because they neither have the muscle power nor money power. So who would get elected? Simple answer ain't it? All these days a man with muscle and money powers used to get elected; now its the turn of his wife. No change in story.
At least is there a performance measurement system for every policy we enforce? Are we checking periodically the effectiveness of the policy and reevaluating it? No. Then what are we up to? Just vote bank politics?
So, finally left with one question. What can a small IT employee like me or you can do about this?
The first thing we should do is VOTE, according to me.
All other suggestions are welcome. Kindly comment and I shall include them.
