SRK’s Fiasco at Newark Airport: My take on it

One might think I am talking about something which is already forgotten. Rather I am trying to put a consolidated view here.
Primarily let’s talk about what people had to say. I am not going to discuss about those who were on the side of SRK. Let’s talk about those who were talking like netas. Below are some of those
1.       In India people got used to undue respect.
2.       In US no one cares if it’s Brad Pitt or Shahrukh Khan. They check everyone
3.       There is nothing wrong if the officer checks thoroughly to avoid another 9/11
4.       One fool also said: SRK was detained further because his luggage did not arrive in the same flight. What if there was a bomb in the luggage.
5.       If Jetli comes to India no one would even know.
Okay now my views, which is in a tone to reply to all the above said dudes.
In India, when you are traveling, your passport is checked and your luggage goes through a security check. Once this is done after you arrive in London the luggage again passes through scanners and you would go through a thorough check. Once I had forgotten to dump the water bottle I preserved from the connecting flight and my bag gave a sound. They checked everything even after removing the bottle. So finally you land up in the US. Once they swipe your VISA on the slot on their keyboard they get information of yours in full. Your finger prints which they took when they gave you VISA, your travel history and the types of VISAs you hold. The first time I went to US the officer asked me how long I am going to stay. Next time they never even bothered.
Now let’s talk about SRK’s visit. Once you swipe Shahrukh’s passport you will come to know that he had visited US several times. At least his jumbo passport would say it. Next his VISA type. It would have clearly told every piece and bit of information. So what do you want to know more about him? If one would still want to know, they would verify his local contacts. This would have given them the right information.
Now comes to the luggage, there were several instances I missed my connecting flights but my luggage did its own journey and arrived to my hotel after a day or two. So what? It’s screened dude. It’s clean. Then there is no point of detaining SRK on the grounds of baggage clearance.
Now answering to Q5: To the idiot who said so --- yes if JetLi comes to India no one would know. However, if Arnold Schwarzenegger or George Clooney or Bruce Willis comes to India, certainly there would be millions who knew them and at few thousands who would like to see them. Not knowing anyone mentioned above should be considered as a fault of the immigration officer. He is supposed to know minimum basics about the world. It’s like you are a programmer and you don’t know that a language called C# exists and it’s pronounced as C Sharp rather than C Hash.
Now the million dollar question:
Why was SRK detained???
